An important aspect of blogging is ease of use. If a blog site is difficult to work with and move through then the blog will not be very successful. Of the two sites, blogger.com was by far the easiest to use. Before you even signed up, blogger had information and helpful tips about the “how to’s” of the site. They dedicated an entire page to give step-by-step instructions about how to do just about anything on blogger such as: signing up for a blog, adding/inviting new members, making posts, changing the layout, personalizing settings, and so on. All these tools would be hard to figure out normally, especially for an individual who does not know much about computers. By providing the necessary information for anyone to create and manage a blog is a successful feature of blogger.com. Contrarily, wordpress.com provided little to no help on similar tasks that we mentioned earlier. With the wordpress site, signing up was fairly easy just like blogger; however, when it came to adding new members, changing layout, and other such tasks, there was very little guidance and information on “how to”. This creates difficulty for individuals who do not understand the dynamics of the computer.
