Entertainment (Intro Page)
Entertainment makes up a huge component of our lives. The entertainment world provides us with music, television, movies, video and board games, sports, etc. Without this multi-million dollar industry it seems we’d be completely bored! According to the A.C. Nielsen Co each person watches on average about 4 hours of television a day. This adds up to about 28 hours per week and over 9 years over a lifetime. This is the time consumed purely by television. Yet there are still more of our lives dedicated to movies, recreational music, computer and video games, and so on.
Every year brings tragedies and triumphs which affect the world around us. Like every other year, 2001 brought an array of events and creations in entertainment. This page will focus on only three aspects of 2001 entertainment: major celebrities’ deaths, top movies of the year, and top albums of the year.
